i was out cruising before my next class starts. Saw a mustang, and raced couple times through heavy traffic. We were heading up to a red and i was prepared to race from a stop(i suck at launching), but when we were about to stop at the light, the lights turned green, and he had a jump on me, about 2 cars. so i go chase him trying to catch up, and by 2nd gear gear i was already pulling on him. by third gear i was about half a car behind and it stayed there. we raced up to 120. i was suprised i kept up with him since i think my car is not running 100%. My mods are just intake and exhaust. my nitrous bottle was closed so i couldnt use it. what i can tell is he has a manual, and mods i can see is just exhaust. now the mess up part was when we slowed down for the traffic light, he gave me thumbs up and turned left. i continue on going straight down the road for about 5 ft, looked in the veiw rear mirror and a Cop was flashing his lights. At that moment, i was already saying bye to the car. i knew it was gonna get impounded. The cop went over to my window, and yelled at who was i racing(he was pissed), i played dumb and said i wasnt racing. then he yelled louder, and i just told him a mustang. He grabbed my license and went back to the car. 15 minutes later he came back and through the license at my face and drove off. no ticket or anything. i was pissed that he through it at my face, but i rather have him do that instead of impounding my car, suspending my license, and slapping me with all that fines. i was LUCKY!!!. No more street racing for me.
